Short answer: yes. [Uber](/referrals/uber)'s new-rider referral takes 50% off each of your first five trips, up to £5 a trip, and the TopReferrals code tz4dcya9ssfp (or https://topreferrals.co.uk/go/uber) puts it on your account.

## Where the cap bites

Half of a fare equals £5 at exactly £10, so the referral saves half on anything shorter and a flat £5 on anything longer. On Uber's own London figures, an UberX to Paddington averages £20: £5 off, a quarter of the fare.

## What it takes

Add the code before your first trip, through the link on your phone or under Account → Wallet → Add promo code. Uber shows the offer, with its expiry date, in Wallet → Promotions.

## After the five trips

Regular riders can move on to Uber One at £4.99 a month for 5% back on rides and 10% on Exec and Lux.

## Verdict

Five half-price trips from Uber itself, worth up to £25, are the best start a new rider can get. Figures read on Uber's referral page and UK terms on 3 October 2026.

## FAQ

### How much is the Uber referral worth?
Up to £25: 50% off each of the first 5 trips, to a maximum of £5 a trip, with code tz4dcya9ssfp or https://topreferrals.co.uk/go/uber.

### Which trips should I use it on?
Every trip in the first five gets it automatically. Fares around £10 are the sweet spot, where half the fare and the £5 cap meet.

For a new rider, yes per trip: £5 off a £20 fare against £1 of Uber One credit at 5%. Uber One (£4.99 a month) pays off later for regular riders.

### Can I add the code after my first trip?
No. Uber applies promotions only if they are on the account before a trip is requested.
