# Revolut Referral Code

> One-sided and campaign-limited: the £70 goes to the referrer, the new joiner gets a variable in-app offer, and qualifying takes four steps. A strong bank, but the lowest-ranked referral on our table for a joiner.

Revolut runs its referral in rolling campaign windows that pay the referrer a flat sum — around £70 in the mid-2026 window — once a new joiner completes four steps: ID verification, funding, three £5+ card purchases and activating a physical card. The new joiner receives a variable in-app welcome offer, not the headline figure. Revolut reported 55M+ customers globally in its 2025 results; the Revolut Bank UK Branch is FCA-authorised and PRA-regulated with FSCS protection on eligible deposits. ## Rewards
- Referrer: £70 — Paid to the referrer after the new joiner completes all four steps; maximum ten paid referrals per campaign; current campaign ends 23 June 2026

## How it works
1. Open Revolut through the link — the referral attaches automatically, with no code to type.
2. Sign up and complete ID verification with a passport or UK driving licence plus a selfie.
3. Add money, then make three card purchases of £5 or more. Gambling, gift cards, ATM withdrawals, transfers and crypto buys do not count.
4. Order a physical Revolut card, add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and make at least one contactless payment.
5. Once all four steps are done, the person who referred you is paid £70 within a few days. Your own welcome offer is whatever Revolut is running in-app at the time.

## Eligibility
New UK customers aged 18+. The new joiner must complete ID verification, fund the account, make three £5+ card purchases and order plus activate a physical card. A previously closed or abandoned account can flag the phone number or email as ineligible. Maximum ten paid referrals per campaign.

## FAQ
**Is the Revolut £70 referral still active in 2026?**

The £70 referrer bonus is live in the June 2026 campaign, which ends on 23 June 2026. Revolut runs these in windows that roll over every few months, and the amount has historically ranged from about £30 to £70. We re-check the in-app screen against Revolut's terms.

**Who actually gets the £70 — me or my friend?**

The £70 is paid to the referrer, the existing customer who shared the link. As the new joiner you receive whatever variable welcome offer Revolut is running in-app at the time, which may be smaller or different — so do not expect £70 in cash just for signing up.

**What are the four qualifying steps?**

Verify your identity, add money, make three separate card purchases of £5 or more, and order plus activate a physical card with a contactless payment. Gambling, gift cards, ATM withdrawals, transfers and crypto purchases do not count toward the three.

**Is my money FSCS-protected at Revolut?**

Eligible deposits held with the Revolut Bank UK Branch are FSCS-protected up to £85,000. However, much of what people hold in the app is e-money rather than a bank deposit, and crypto or investments are never FSCS-protected — their value can fall as well as rise.

**Is there a cap on referrals?**

Yes — a maximum of ten paid referrals per campaign. Beyond that, further sign-ups through the same link do not pay the referrer until the next campaign opens.

**Why didn't a referral pay out?**

Usually a step was missed, the window lapsed, or the account was not genuinely new — a previously closed or abandoned Revolut sign-up can flag the phone number or email as ineligible.

## Full review

Revolut is one of the most-used finance apps in Britain, but as a referral it sits at the bottom of our table — and the reason is structural, not a knock on the product. The headline £70 is real, but it is paid to the **referrer**, the qualifying flow is the most demanding here, and the whole thing runs on a campaign clock. For the person clicking a friend's link hoping for a quick bonus, that adds up to the lowest **TopScore** on this page.

## Who gets paid what

This is the catch worth understanding before you start. The **£70 is a flat bonus paid to the referrer** once a new joiner completes the qualifying steps. As the **new joiner, you do not receive £70** — you get whatever variable welcome offer Revolut happens to be running in-app when you sign up, which can be smaller, different, or simply a feature trial. We never headline the £70 as a joining bonus, because it is not one.

A previous programme paid a flat £50 and ended in 2024; the current structure replaced it. The amount has swung between roughly £30 and £70 across campaigns.

## The four-step claim, in detail

To trigger the bonus the new joiner has to clear four hurdles, in order:

1. **Verify identity** with a passport or UK driving licence plus a selfie.
2. **Fund the account** with some money.
3. **Make three card purchases of £5 or more.** Crucially, gambling, gift cards, ATM withdrawals, transfers and crypto buys are all excluded — they must be ordinary merchant purchases.
4. **Order and activate a physical card,** add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay, and tap it contactless at least once.

Only when all four are done does the referrer get paid, typically within a few days. Note that the **physical card costs £4.99 to deliver on the Standard plan** (free on Plus, Premium, Metal and Ultra), so there can be a small outlay to complete step four.

## Eligibility and the ten-referral cap

You must be a new UK customer aged 18 or over. A previously closed or abandoned Revolut sign-up can flag your phone number or email as ineligible, which is the usual reason a referral silently fails. On the referrer's side there is a **cap of ten paid referrals per campaign**; beyond that, further sign-ups do not pay until the next window.

## Is Revolut a bank? FSCS and e-money

This trips up a lot of people. Revolut operates in the UK through the **Revolut Bank UK Branch**, which is authorised by the FCA and regulated by the PRA, and eligible **deposits there are FSCS-protected up to £85,000**. But a large share of what customers hold in the app is **e-money**, not a bank deposit, and e-money is safeguarded rather than FSCS-covered. Anything in crypto or investments is never FSCS-protected and can fall in value. Revolut reported **more than 55 million customers globally in its 2025 results**, so the brand is substantial — the protection nuance is about which pot your money sits in, not the company's size.

## When the campaign ends, and what comes next

The current £70 window **ends on 23 June 2026.** Revolut almost always opens a new campaign within a few months, but the amount and the exact steps can change, and historically the headline figure drops after a big push. If you are reading this after the deadline, treat the £70 as indicative and check the live in-app figure before you start — which is exactly why this offer scores low on dependability.

## What we checked

We verify this against **Revolut's in-app referral screen and User Agreement**, and we re-check the live campaign rather than assuming last month's terms still hold. Because the offer is time-limited and one-sided, we are deliberately conservative about what we promise the joiner. We do not display the referral code or link on this page, because Revolut's link embeds the referrer's username; the working link is carried by the join button.
