## FAQ

On the deal page, read on the date shown at the top of this page: Standard £1.60, Plus £2.04 and Max £2.63 a month on the 2-year plan with 3 extra months. Max came to £71.15 for 27 months at checkout.

**What extra do Plus and Max include?**

Plus adds a password manager to the VPN and ad blocker. Max adds data removal, dark-web monitoring and an eSIM with 3GB for 30 days.

**Is PureVPN cheaper than Proton VPN?**

At entry level, yes: £1.60 a month for PureVPN Standard on 2 years plus 3 months, against £2.39 a month for Proton VPN Plus on its 2-year partner offer.

## Full review

£1.60 a month. That is the price of a full [PureVPN](/referrals/purevpn) subscription on the UK deal page the TopReferrals link opens, once the 84% discount and the 3 free months are counted. It is the lowest entry price of any VPN listed on TopReferrals, and PureVPN backs it with a 31-day money-back guarantee, so the risk of trying it is close to nil.

## Three tiers, one deal

PureVPN's UK page sells its 2-year plan in three tiers, each with 3 extra months on top (27 months in total). Prices were read in pounds on the date shown at the top of this page:

| Tier | Monthly | Discount | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Standard** | **£1.60** | 84% | The full VPN plus a tracker and ad blocker |
| **Plus** | **£2.04** | 85% | Standard plus a password manager |
| **Max** | **£2.63** | 83% | Plus, data removal, dark-web monitoring and a 3GB, 30-day eSIM |

At checkout, Max came to **£71.15** for the full 27 months. The plan is paid up front.

## What the VPN actually does

Every tier gets the same VPN engine. Connections use **WireGuard**, the modern protocol built for speed. An **internet kill switch** cuts your connection if the VPN drops, so nothing leaks in the gap. **Split tunnelling** lets you send only chosen apps through the VPN and keep the rest on your normal connection, handy for banking apps that dislike VPNs. **Obfuscated servers** disguise VPN traffic as ordinary traffic, and **shortcuts** jump straight to your favourite apps and streaming channels.

## Ten logins, every platform

One PureVPN account covers **up to 10 logins**. Apps are listed for Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android and Linux, with extensions for Chrome and Firefox, so a household's laptops, phones and tablets all fit on one subscription. Support is available **24/7**.

## The extras on Plus and Max

Plus is for anyone who still keeps passwords in a notes app: it adds PureVPN's **password manager**. Max goes further, into identity protection: **data removal**, **dark-web monitoring** to warn you when your information appears in a leak, and an **eSIM with 3GB of data for 30 days**, which turns the VPN subscription into a travel kit for one trip a year.

## The renewal, stated plainly

The deal price covers the first 27 months. After that, PureVPN's checkout terms say the plan **renews automatically** at its current renewal rate, plus VAT where applicable, and that PureVPN **tells you before any price change**. Put a reminder in for month 26 and decide then. If PureVPN is not right in the first month, the **31-day money-back guarantee** returns the full price.

## PureVPN or Proton VPN?

TopReferrals lists both, and they suit different priorities:

| | PureVPN | Proton VPN |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | **£1.60 a month** (2 years + 3 months) | £2.39 a month (2 years, partner offer) |
| Devices | 10 logins | 10 |
| Money-back | **31 days** | 30 days |
| Extras | Password manager (Plus), identity tools and eSIM (Max) | Swiss-based, open-source apps |

Choose PureVPN on price and extras; choose [Proton VPN](/referrals/proton-vpn) if Swiss jurisdiction and open-source apps lead your list.

## For teams

PureVPN also sells a **Teams plan at £5.21 per user a month**, paid annually, with centralised billing for up to 1,000 accounts: worth a look for a small business that wants every laptop on the same VPN.

## Buying it, step by step

PureVPN's deal page runs the purchase in three steps on one screen. **Step one** is the tier and term: pick the 2-year plan to get the 3 extra months and the deepest discount, then Standard, Plus or Max. **Step two** is optional: a Teams plan for businesses. **Step three** creates your account with an email address and a password and takes payment by card, through what PureVPN labels a secure, encrypted checkout. The order summary shows the full 27-month total before you pay; for Max on the date we checked it was £71.15, with UK VAT shown as £0.00 at that stage.

## Who it suits best

- **Households on a budget**: ten logins for £1.60 a month covers every phone and laptop in most homes.
- **Travellers**: Max's 3GB eSIM covers a short trip, and obfuscated servers mask the fact you are using a VPN.
- **Streamers**: shortcuts open favourite channels in one tap.
- **People who want identity cover**: Max adds data removal and dark-web monitoring without a second subscription.
- **Anyone undecided**: 31 days to try it with a full refund available.

## Promo codes, coupons and deals

- **"PureVPN promo code"**: not needed; the UK deal page applies the discount itself.
- **"PureVPN coupon"**: coupon-site codes carry no date or source; this deal is read in pounds on PureVPN's UK page.
- **"PureVPN free trial"**: none listed, but the 31-day refund does the same job.
- **"PureVPN 3 months free"**: the 3 extra months come with every 2-year tier on the deal page.

## How TopReferrals checked this

Every price, tier, feature, the 10-login limit, the platforms, the renewal wording, the 31-day guarantee and the Teams plan were read on PureVPN's UK deal page and checkout, the page the link opens, on the date shown at the top of this page; Proton VPN's figures come from its TopReferrals entry. We re-read the deal page on that schedule and re-check the link daily.
