TradingView's invite gives a new user a $15 discount coupon towards a paid subscription, and the inviter $15 of subscription credit, but only where the new user is genuinely new and upgrades to a paid plan within three months of joining. The coupon lasts one year, works on monthly and annual Essential, Plus and Premium plans, excludes market-data subscriptions, is non-transferable, and must be typed into the promo-code field at web checkout — it never applies to renewals automatically. Rewards are in US dollars. TradingView is a charting and analysis platform, not a broker.

## Rewards
- Both sides: $15 — New user receives a $15 coupon towards an Essential, Plus or Premium subscription (one-year validity, manual entry, market data excluded); inviter receives $15 of subscription credit, subject to the 15-day hold stated on TradingView's in-product referral dashboard. Both require a genuinely new account upgrading to a paid plan within three months of joining.

## How it works
1. Open TradingView through the invite link — nothing needs typing at sign-up.
2. Create the free account. The clock that matters is three months from joining.
3. Upgrade to Essential, Plus or Premium inside that window — the reward depends on it.
4. Enter the coupon manually in the promo-code field at web checkout — it never applies itself, and never applies to a renewal.

## Eligibility
New TradingView users only — duplicate detection blocks the reward where the person following the link already has or previously had an account. A paid upgrade must happen within three months of joining. The coupon covers Essential, Plus and Premium subscriptions, monthly or annual, and excludes market-data add-ons and other promotional offers.

## FAQ
**What does a new TradingView user get?**

A $15 discount coupon towards a paid subscription — but it is issued when you upgrade, not when you register. TradingView's help centre puts it plainly: the friend receives a $15 discount coupon, and the person who invited them receives $15 to spend on their own subscription.

**Is there a deadline?**

Yes, and it is the condition that disqualifies most people: the upgrade to a paid plan must happen within three months of joining. Register now, subscribe in month four, and the referral is void — both sides hang on that window.

**Is the reward in pounds?**

No — US dollars. TradingView prices subscriptions and rewards in USD, so the sterling value moves with the exchange rate, and a card without fee-free foreign spending may add a non-sterling transaction fee to the purchase itself.

**Will the coupon apply to my renewal next year?**

No. TradingView states the code does not automatically apply to future renewals — you buy a new subscription manually and enter the code in the promo field. It stays valid for one year from issue, so there is time, but nobody applies it for you.

**Can I subscribe in the mobile app and still use it?**

Not directly. Referral rewards are redeemed on the website, and an existing mobile subscription needs its auto-renewal cancelled first. Apple and Google own in-app billing, which is why the discount route runs through a browser.

**Why might the reward not arrive?**

Usually duplicate detection. TradingView checks whether the person following the link is genuinely new, and states that if they have another account or registered earlier, the bonus will be unavailable. A dormant old account silently disqualifies it. The other common cause is the three-month window closing.

**Is TradingView a broker?**

No. It is a charting, analysis and social platform — the product is software. It connects to third-party brokers so orders can be placed from a chart, but the account, the money and the regulatory relationship sit with that broker. This listing covers a software discount only.

## Full review

## What you get

A **$15 discount coupon** towards a TradingView subscription. TradingView's help centre describes both sides in one sentence: the referrer *"will get $15 as a reward to spend on our advanced subscriptions"* and *"your friend will receive a $15 discount coupon"*.

The critical word is **coupon**. This is not credit sitting in your account from day one — it is issued to you at the point you start paying, and only if you start paying soon enough.

## This is an upgrade reward, not a sign-up reward

Two conditions decide whether anybody gets anything, and both fail silently:

**A genuinely new account.** TradingView runs duplicate detection and states the outcome directly: *"if the person who followed your link has another account or registered earlier, the referral bonus will be unavailable."* An account you opened years ago and forgot, or a second one on another email address, is enough to void it. Nothing warns you at the time.

**An upgrade inside three months.** The reward requires the new user to become *"a paid member within 3 months of joining us"*. Join today, spend a season on the free tier, subscribe in month four — and the coupon never existed.

The practical read: if you already know you want a paid plan, come in through the invite. If you are only curious, the free tier is genuinely capable and this offer should not push you into paying.

## Spending the coupon without wasting it

| Rule | Consequence |
|---|---|
| Valid **one year** from issue | Long runway, but not unlimited |
| **Manual entry** in the promo field | It never applies itself |
| **Never applied to renewals** | One-shot discount, spend it deliberately |
| **Web checkout only** | Cancel a mobile subscription's auto-renewal first |
| **Excludes market data** | Exchange feeds are billed separately and not covered |
| **Non-transferable** | Cannot be shared or moved between accounts |

It covers **monthly and annual Essential, Plus and Premium** plans, so where the $15 bites hardest is a monthly plan's first bill; on an annual plan it is a smaller slice of a larger — and generally better value — purchase.

## The dollar question

TradingView prices in **US dollars**. For a UK subscriber that means two things: the pound value of the $15 moves with the rate, and the subscription itself is a non-sterling transaction, which some cards surcharge. It does not change the merit of the discount — it reduces the dollar price of the plan either way — but a page quoting "£15 off" would be wrong, and plenty do.

## What you are actually buying

TradingView is an American-British charting, analysis and social-trading platform. A subscription buys charts, indicators, screeners, alerts and data tooling — **it is software, not a brokerage**. It integrates with third-party brokers so an order can be fired from a chart, but the money, the account and the regulation sit with that broker, not with TradingView. Nothing on this page is an inducement to trade; it is a discount on a software subscription.

## There is no code to type

Worth stating because the internet is full of "TradingView referral codes" that do not exist. The mechanism is a **link**. The parameter inside it is a URL parameter, not a coupon, and your own $15 coupon is issued by TradingView to your account after you upgrade. If a page offers you a TradingView code to paste at sign-up, it has invented it.

## Who this suits

| You are | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Already planning to pay for charts | **Use it** — free money on a decision you have made |
| Trialling the free tier | **No rush** — the coupon is there when you upgrade inside three months |
| Returning after a lapsed old account | **Will not work** — duplicate detection blocks it |
| Subscribing through an iPhone or Android app | **Change route** — redeem on the website instead |

## Where these figures come from

The $15/$15 split, the new-user requirement and the three-month window come from TradingView's help-centre article on its referral programme. The one-year validity, manual promo-field entry, exclusion of renewals and market data, and non-transferability come from its article on how the refer-a-friend coupon works. Redemption mechanics — website-only, extending an active plan, cancelling a mobile auto-renewal — come from its article on spending referral earnings, and the duplicate-detection wording from its article on missing referral bonuses. Company background is from TradingView's Wikipedia entry. Plan names, prices and terms are set by TradingView and change without notice; we re-check the link daily and re-read the terms on the verification date above.
