**What does a new Vinted member get?**

**Can I spend the whole £15 on one purchase?**

No. Vinted allows one voucher per order and issues the £10 half as two separate £5 vouchers, so each needs its own qualifying basket. In practice you need three orders of £15 or more to use everything you have earned.

**Does postage count towards the £15 minimum?**

No. The voucher applies where the item or bundle price reaches £15 on its own. Buyer Protection, shipping and any optional buyer or seller services sit outside that calculation, so a £13 item with £4 postage will not qualify even though you are paying £17.

**How long do the vouchers last?**

90 days from issue, with the date shown beside each voucher in the 'Your referrals' section of your account. Because spending them takes several separate orders, the expiry is usually the tighter constraint rather than the earning.

**Can I get the money as cash instead?**

No. Vinted states the vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another user. They are credit against Vinted purchases, usable on Buy now orders only, and they cannot pay for Buyer Protection, postage, optional services or items listed with custom shipping.

**What if I only want to buy, not sell?**

You can still take the £5 for listing three items, but two-thirds of the reward depends on a completed sale. If you have nothing to sell, treat this as a £5 offer and judge it accordingly.

**Is there a limit on referral earnings?**

Yes — Vinted caps the programme at £1,000 of vouchers per year, and can suspend participation or cancel vouchers where someone breaches its rules or behaves abusively or fraudulently.

## What you get

Vinted's invite is worth **up to £15 in shopping vouchers**, and both the new member and the person who invited them receive the same amounts. It arrives in two separate pieces:

The two stages are independent. Nothing sells in the first month? You keep the £5. Missed the listing deadline but made a sale? You keep the £10. Vinted's own condition on that sale is that it must be "to another user (not you)" — an arranged sale back to the person who invited you does not count.

This is where a headline figure and a spendable figure part company, and it comes down to three rules Vinted publishes but does not put on the invite banner:

- The £10 is issued as **two vouchers of £5**, not one of £10.
- **One voucher per order.**
- A voucher only applies where the **item price reaches £15** — Buyer Protection, postage and optional services are excluded from that total.

Stack those together and the practical shape of the offer emerges: **three separate baskets of £15 or more**, roughly £45 of shopping, all inside the **90-day** voucher life. That is genuine money off if you buy second-hand clothes regularly. It is close to worthless if you were planning a single purchase.

A worked example. You earn all £15. You buy a £22 coat — one £5 voucher applies, you pay £17 plus postage and Buyer Protection. Three weeks later you buy £16 of jeans — another £5 comes off. If you never place a third £15 order before day 90, the last £5 expires unused, and you have realised £10 of a £15 headline.

## Selling is free, which is why the reward is credit

For private sellers, Vinted charges nothing to list or sell. Its revenue comes from the **Buyer Protection** fee and optional extras like bumped listings — which is precisely why the voucher is barred from covering those. Vinted will discount the item; it will not discount its own commission.

That structure has an upside worth stating: the £5 you earn for three listings is not quietly recovered through a selling fee later. What you list, you sell fee-free.

## Getting the earning half right

**Use the link at sign-up.** Vinted requires friends to "sign up using your referral link and create an account". There is no way to attach an invite to an account that already exists, and each link works once per invited person.

**A UK link only registers a UK account.** Vinted runs each country's programme separately and states that a link generated on one country's platform "cannot be used to register on another country's Vinted platform".

**Choose three listings that can actually sell.** The 7-day task asks only for three listings, but the 30-day task needs a real buyer — and it is worth twice as much. Three sellable items beat three quick ones.
