Is the Vinted invite code worth it in 2026?

Vinted's invite pays up to £15 — one of the larger figures in this directory — but "up to" is doing real work, and the two halves are very different propositions.

Two rewards on two clocks

The £15 is not a single payment. It splits:

• £5 for listing three items within seven days of joining
• £10 for completing a sale to another member within thirty days

Those are separate conditions on separate deadlines, and you can earn the first without the second.

The first £5 is entirely in your control

This is the part worth emphasising, because it is unusually achievable. Listing three items depends on nobody but you. Photograph three things you were going to get rid of anyway, write three short descriptions, publish. No buyer needs to appear, nothing needs to sell, no money changes hands.

The timing to plan around is the seven-day window — tighter than the thirty days on the second stage. The easy way to bank it is to do the three listings in your first sitting, while you are already in the app.

The £10 needs an actual buyer

The second stage is a genuine sale, and that depends on someone choosing to buy. That is not within your control, though you can influence it: price sensibly rather than optimistically, photograph in daylight, and list things people actually search for. Thirty days is reasonably generous for one sale if the items are priced to move.

One rule to note: the sale must be to another member, not to the person who invited you. Arranging a sale between the two of you to release the reward does not work.

Understand how the credit spends

This is the detail that changes what £15 is worth in practice. The reward is store credit, issued in £5 pieces, and only one piece can be applied per order, on baskets of £15 or more.

So £15 of credit is not £15 off one purchase. It is:

• £5 off an order of £15+
• £5 off a second order of £15+
• £5 off a third order of £15+

Three separate purchases, each at least £15, to extract the full value — meaning you would spend at least £45 to use £15 of credit. If you shop on Vinted regularly that is fine and the credit simply reduces what you were spending anyway. If you joined purely to sell, the credit is worth rather less to you than the headline suggests.

Eligibility

New Vinted UK members registering through the invite link at account creation — it cannot be applied afterwards, and it works once per invited person. A link issued on the UK platform cannot register an account on another country's Vinted, which catches people who receive a link from a friend abroad.

Who it suits best

Anyone with a wardrobe to clear who also buys on Vinted — both halves of the reward line up with what you were going to do anyway. Do the three listings in your first sitting to bank the £5 straight away, then let the £10 follow when something sells.

The Vinted invite is worth it if you were going to sell anyway — and the £5 first stage is the most reliably obtainable part of it, because it depends on three listings rather than on a buyer. Treat £15 as the ceiling rather than the expectation, know that the credit spends in £5 pieces across separate £15 orders, and do the listings inside the first week while the tighter clock is running.
