When investing, your capital is at risk: the free shares, and anything else you buy, can fall in value as well as rise, and you may get back less than you put in. The reward is paid under Trading 212's Invite a Friend terms and its value is not guaranteed. Tax treatment depends on your circumstances. This is not financial advice.

Trading 212 Invite Code — Free shares worth up to £100
£1 into a new Trading 212 Invest account or Stocks ISA within 10 days brings a draw of free shares worth £8–£100 within three business days, at odds Trading 212 publishes. Sell at once; withdraw the cash after 30 days.
A random draw of free fractional shares worth £8 to £100 from Trading 212, for opening an Invest account or Stocks ISA through the invite link and depositing £1 or more within 10 days. Trading 212 publishes the odds: four draws in five land between £8 and £25.
Use the Trading 212 invite link https://topreferrals.co.uk/go/trading-212 (there is no code to type) to open an Invest account or Stocks ISA, verify your identity and deposit £1 or more within 10 days: Trading 212 then credits free fractional shares worth £8 to £100 within three business days, drawn at random at published odds (80% land at £8–£25). The campaign runs 21 September–3 November 2026; capital is at risk. TopReferrals read every figure from Trading 212's Invite a Friend terms and help centre on 26 September 2026.
How the Trading 212 invite code works
- Open https://topreferrals.co.uk/go/trading-212 and start your sign-up from the Trading 212 page it loads, which shows the campaign countdown.
- Pick an Invest account or a Stocks ISA — either one carries the reward.
- Complete Trading 212's identity check in the app.
- Move £1 or more into the account within 10 calendar days; a bank transfer costs nothing.
- Watch for your free fractional shares within three business days. Sell whenever you like; the cash comes free to withdraw after 30 days.
Who's eligible
First-time Trading 212 clients living in the UK or another eligible country, with no earlier Trading 212 Invest account or Stocks ISA at any Trading 212 company and no earlier Trading 212 promotion reward. Open the account through the invite link during the campaign (21 September–3 November 2026) and deposit £1 or more within 10 calendar days. Invest and Stocks ISA accounts count; Cash ISA, crypto and CFD accounts are outside the programme.
The banner in Trading 212's app says "up to £100", and that is accurate — but the number worth knowing is the one underneath it. Trading 212 draws each reward at random and publishes the odds, which makes this one of the few investing offers where you can see exactly what the draw looks like before you sign up.
The draw behind "up to £100"
A new client who opens an Invest account or Stocks ISA through the invite link, passes the identity check and deposits £1 or more within 10 days receives free fractional shares. Trading 212 chooses both the company and the value at random, from these published bands:
| Band | Share of draws |
|---|---|
| £75.01 to £100 | 2 in 100 |
| £50.01 to £75 | 3 in 100 |
| £25.01 to £50 | 15 in 100 |
| £8 to £25 | 80 in 100 |
So the floor is £8, the most common outcome is a share worth £8 to £25, and one draw in five is worth more than £25. The person who shared the link gets a draw of their own, which is why Trading 212 calls it Invite a Friend rather than a sign-up bonus.
The terms allow the reward to arrive as one share, several shares or — where a particular share can't be provided — cash of the same value. It is credited within three business days of the conditions being met, into whichever account you funded.
Three steps, ten days
Everything that decides the reward happens in the first ten days:
- Start from the link. Open https://topreferrals.co.uk/go/trading-212 and sign up from the page it loads. It is Trading 212's own page, greeting new clients with their free shares and the campaign countdown.
- Verify. Trading 212 checks identity before any UK investment account goes live — a few minutes in the app.
- Deposit £1 or more. The minimum deposit on Trading 212's terms and fees page is £1, and it has to arrive within 10 calendar days of opening the account. Bank transfers are free; card and wallet top-ups are free up to £2,000 in total.
No trade is required. Once the shares are in, the terms ask that the account stays open and funded for at least seven calendar days — reversing the steps inside that window, such as withdrawing every pound deposited, lets Trading 212 reclaim the reward.
The accounts that count
The programme covers two Trading 212 accounts:
- Invest — a general investment account, where the reward sits alongside anything else you buy.
- Stocks ISA — the tax-free wrapper, where the reward counts towards the £20,000 annual allowance. Trading 212's terms move a reward to the Invest account if the ISA is already full when it is allocated.
The Cash ISA, crypto accounts and CFD accounts are outside it. Pick Invest or the Stocks ISA at sign-up, fund that account, and the reward follows the money.
Selling is instant, withdrawing waits 30 days
The shares are yours from the moment they are credited: hold them, sell them or swap them for something else in the app. The cash value of the reward is held for 30 days from the day it lands; after that it can be withdrawn like any other balance, and Trading 212 charges nothing for withdrawals. The hold touches only the reward — your own deposit and every other holding stay fully accessible.
Why a Trading 212 link has an expiry date
Most referral links stay live for as long as the account behind them. Trading 212's do not. The Invite a Friend programme runs in campaigns, and the terms state that links are issued at the start of each campaign and expire automatically when it closes. The current campaign runs from 21 September to 3 November 2026 (23:59 GMT on the terms; the countdown in the app ends on 2 November).
Two more rules explain how links move around. Trading 212 hands links to existing clients on a limited basis, so not every client has one. And a sharer can earn at most five rewards per campaign — after that, friends joining through the same link still receive their own shares, so the new client's side is unaffected.
The costs once you are in
Read from Trading 212's terms and fees page on 26 September 2026: share and ETF dealing carries no commission, there is no custody fee, and currency conversion costs 0.15% when you buy shares priced in another currency. The minimum order is £1, which is what makes fractional investing in large companies practical, and uninvested pounds earn a variable 3.8% AER, paid daily. Government stamp duty of 0.5% applies to purchases of most UK shares, as on every platform.
For comparison on the same day, Freetrade's free Basic plan charged a 0.99% FX fee and paid 1% AER on up to £1,000 of cash, while Hargreaves Lansdown capped online share deals at £6.95 with an annual account charge of up to 0.35%.
Trading 212 promo codes, discount codes and the invite
Trading 212 does issue promo codes, through separate promotions and partners — its help centre has a page on what one gives you. They are not an add-on to the invite. The Invite a Friend terms keep the two apart, and a new client who has already had a reward from any Trading 212 promotion is outside the programme, so the first route used is the one that counts.
| Search | What you will actually find |
|---|---|
| Trading 212 invite code | The invite is a link — https://topreferrals.co.uk/go/trading-212 |
| Trading 212 promo code | Separate promotions; one reward per new client |
| Trading 212 discount code | Nothing to discount — dealing is already commission-free |
| Trading 212 free share code | Free shares come through the invite link, £8–£100 |
| Trading 212 voucher | No joining voucher; the reward is paid in shares |
Who Trading 212 is
Trading 212 is an investing app with over 5 million clients worldwide by its own measure (lifetime funded accounts). In the UK it is operated by Trading 212 UK Ltd, company number 08590005, at Aldermary House, 10–15 Queen Street, London, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under firm reference 609146. Beyond Invest and the Stocks ISA it offers a Cash ISA, a SIPP, pies for automated investing across thousands of stocks and ETFs, and fractional shares from £1. Trading 212 says client money is kept in segregated accounts and protected by the FSCS up to £120,000.
What we checked
We read the reward, the odds, the 10-day and seven-day rules, the 30-day hold, the five-reward cap and the campaign dates from Trading 212's Invite a Friend terms (last updated 21 September 2026), its help-centre article on inviting friends and the value panel on its invite page, on 26 September 2026. Fees and the £1 minimum come from its terms and fees page; the regulatory details from its site footer.
That matters more for Trading 212 than for almost any other programme, because its links die at the end of every campaign. A link copied from an old forum thread or a coupon list belongs to a campaign that has already closed, and nothing on those pages says so. We test this link every day, re-read Trading 212's terms monthly, and move this page to the next campaign's link when Trading 212 issues it. When investing, your capital is at risk.
The Trading 212 invite code is verified and the link is live — it takes under a minute to claim.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Trading 212 invite offer running in 2026?
Yes. The current Invite a Friend campaign opened on 21 September 2026 and closes at 23:59 GMT on 3 November 2026 under Trading 212's terms; the app's own countdown runs to 2 November. We opened https://topreferrals.co.uk/go/trading-212 on 26 September 2026 and it loaded Trading 212's invite page with the countdown live.
What is the Trading 212 invite code?
The invite is a link rather than a code: https://topreferrals.co.uk/go/trading-212. Open it first and create the account from the page it loads — the reward is attached to that sign-up, so there is nothing to paste in afterwards.
What are the odds on the Trading 212 free share?
Trading 212 publishes them on its invite page: 80% of draws are worth £8 to £25, 15% are worth £25.01 to £50, 3% £50.01 to £75 and 2% £75.01 to £100. The company behind the share is drawn at random too.
What deposit unlocks the free shares?
£1 is enough — it is the minimum deposit on Trading 212's terms and fees page — as long as it reaches the new Invest account or Stocks ISA within 10 calendar days of the account being opened.
Why does an old Trading 212 referral link not work?
Because Trading 212 issues new links for each campaign and its terms say they expire automatically when the campaign ends. A link shared during an earlier campaign is dead. The one on this page belongs to the campaign running until 3 November 2026.
Can the free shares go into a Stocks ISA?
Yes — fund the Stocks ISA and the reward is credited there, where it counts towards the £20,000 annual ISA allowance. Fund an Invest account instead and it lands there. The Cash ISA is not part of the programme.
When can I take the money out?
The shares can be sold the moment they arrive. The cash value of the reward is held for 30 days from crediting and can be withdrawn after that. Keep the account open and funded for at least seven days after the reward lands, as the terms require.
Does a Trading 212 promo code stack with the invite?
No. Trading 212's terms keep the invite separate from promo links and promo codes issued under other promotions, and each new client can receive one promotion reward only.
Who runs Trading 212 in the UK?
Trading 212 UK Ltd, registered in England and Wales (08590005) and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under firm reference 609146. Trading 212 says client money is held in segregated accounts with FSCS cover up to £120,000. Capital is at risk when investing.
