Wix's help centre sets one boundary on any promotion: it covers the first month or first year of a plan. Renewals are charged at the normal price. So the smart move is to take the discount on a yearly plan you actually intend to keep.

The line that matters for most businesses is the last column. Core is the first plan with Accept payments, eCommerce and scheduling and services, which makes it the default for anyone selling a product or a booking. Light is a polished brochure site on your own domain. Business is Wix's recommended plan, with the standard marketing suite and 100 GB. Business Elite is for scale: unlimited storage, the advanced developer platform and 100 collaborators.

Every Premium plan includes a free domain for one year (a new domain bought from Wix), multi-cloud hosting and 24/7 customer care.

Building it

Wix starts you two ways. Describe the business in a prompt and its AI generates a site you then adjust, or pick a designer-made template from the 2,000+ on offer. The editor is drag and drop, so every element can be moved, restyled or replaced without code, and the built-in tools cover SEO, Google ads, email marketing and social posts. Wix's landing page says more than 15,000 sites go live on it every day, and its plans page puts hosting uptime at 99.99%.

Once the site is live

Wix keeps the growth tools inside the same dashboard. Its website-builder page lists built-in SEO tools, Google ads, email marketing and social posts, so the site that takes the booking can also bring the customer in. Wix's plans come with 24/7 customer care, by chat or a scheduled call, and the help centre carries the step-by-step articles.

Two practical rules from Wix's pricing article are worth knowing before you pay. Each Premium plan covers one site, so a second business needs a second plan. And plans change freely: up or down, monthly to yearly, at any time, with a move to a cheaper plan credited. Agencies and freelancers building for clients use Wix Studio, which has its own Studio plans.

The free plan, honestly described

The Free plan is not a demo. It is a live site with hosting and the full editor. What it lacks is polish for a business: it sits on a wixsite.com address, carries Wix ads, and is capped at 500MB of storage and bandwidth. That is exactly why the 48-hour window works: build on the free plan, and when the site looks right, upgrade at half price.

If it is not right

Wix has no Premium free trial. Instead it gives a 14-day money-back guarantee on new Premium and Studio plans, monthly or yearly. Cancel inside 14 days and you are refunded to the original payment method (Wix allows up to 45 business days for it to land); the site drops back to the free version rather than disappearing. Renewals, upgrades of an existing plan and domains are outside the guarantee. Plans can be changed later in either direction, and a move to a cheaper plan is credited.
